Tesla Stock Rises as Trump-Musk Tensions Ease
Tesla shares gained 4.6% on Monday as hostilities between Elon Musk and former President Donald TRUMP showed signs of thawing. The electric vehicle maker's stock rebounded after Trump walked back threats to sell his Tesla Model S, instead opting to "move it around" while keeping the vehicle parked at the White House.
Market observers noted the de-escalation came without direct negotiations, but through mutual softening of public positions. "We had a good relationship, I wish him well, very well actually," Trump told reporters when asked about Musk. The détente follows a four-day public spat that began when Trump criticized American EV manufacturers last Thursday.
